Where does the data come from?
From the official business registries: the Colorado Secretary of State and the New York Department of State, both published as open data. We do not scrape private sites or buy lists. Every lead links back to the public record it came from.
Is it legal to contact these businesses?
Business filings are public record, and reaching out to a new business is ordinary prospecting. You are responsible for doing it lawfully: follow CAN-SPAM for email, the TCPA and state do-not-call rules for calls and texts, and any rules of your own profession. The contact details we show are only the ones a business has published on its own website or Google listing, never personal cell phones, and our outreach drafts are written to be respectful and easy to decline.
How fresh are the leads?
It depends on the state. Colorado publishes new filings daily, so a business that filed yesterday can be in your digest this morning. New York publishes its registry monthly, so New York leads arrive in a batch when the state releases them. The state coverage table above stays current as we add states.
What is fact and what is an AI guess?
The business name, entity type, filing date, addresses and the officer or agent names come straight from the state record and are shown as "Public record" on every lead. The industry label, sector, business kind, summary and signals are inferred by Claude (Anthropic's AI) from the name and filing details, with a confidence level. The score is computed from those guesses plus your profile. Treat the guesses as a starting point, not a fact, and check before you rely on them.
Do you provide phone numbers or email addresses for the businesses?
Yes, when the business has published them itself. After a filing is scored, we look for the business's own website or Google Business Profile and, when we find a confident match, show the phone number, email address, website and social links it lists there. We never provide personal cell phones or home addresses, and we do not buy or append contact data from brokers. Many brand-new businesses have not set up a website or listing yet; for those you get the registry record, the officer name when the state records one, and one-click Google, LinkedIn and Maps searches. Whatever the source, you must still follow CAN-SPAM for email, the TCPA and do-not-call rules for calls and texts, and the rules of your own profession.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime, from Settings. There is no contract. If you cancel during the trial you are never charged.
